Dale Coursey, on May 29, 2014, went to be with his Lord, who he loved so much. He was born on April 29, 1935 in Oklahoma City Oklahoma to Elmer and Beatrice Coursey. After living in Oklahoma and California, his family finally settled in the Eugene Oregon area.

Dale went to school in Marcola Oregon. He married his high school sweetheart, [first name withheld] Shaddy in September 1955. They raised their family in the Eugene/Springfield area. He worked in the wood industry until a debilitating disability forced him to retire. In 2001 Dale and his wife moved to Caldwell Idaho. He was greatly loved by friends and family; known by many as "Big Bear." He never knew a stranger.

He is survived by his wife, and their children, 1 son and his wife of Eugene Oregon, 1 son, 1 daughter and her husband of Caldwell Idaho, a sister Roberta [surname withheld] of Santa Cruz California, eight grandchildren, two step grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters; Iris Johnson and Darlene Youngblood.

A memorial service held at the Harrisburg Christian Church, located at 601 Smith Street, Harrisburg Oregon on Thursday, June 12, 2014.
