Mertie Janettia (Barnes) Wagy Bair, 93, of Albany died Tuesday at Timberview Care Center.
She was born in Linn County to Jason and Mary Pearl (Stacy) Barnes. She grew up in Albany and worked on a farm milking cows.
She married Richard P. Wagy on Feb. 14, 1926, in Albany. He died Jan. 21, 1971. She married Ralph J. Bair on June 24, 1974, in Reno. Mr. Bair died Dec. 28, 1988.
Mrs. Bair was a homemaker who raised her family in the Albany area. She enjoyed fishing and spending with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are son Robert Wagy of Albany; daughter Zella Cate of Albany; sister Mary Martin of Lebanon; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Bair was preceded in death by sons George and Frank and two brothers and six sisters.
A graveside service will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Locke Cemetery in Lewisburg, with Pastor Mark Peterson officiating.
