Dr. N. J. Larson, 73, a veterinarian at Evansville since 1902, passed away Sunday at a hospital in Fergus Falls. He had been suffering ill health the past two years, but only a few days ago did his condition become serious and he was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Dr. Larson was born July 6, 1871 in Goodhue county, and at the age of eight years moved with his parents to Dane Prairie township, Ottertail county. In 1895 he graduated from veterinary school and began practice at MacIntosh. He moved to Dalton in 1900, and two years later to Evansville where he remained. The deceased was a noted gunman, of the more favorable kind. He won many trophies at marksmanship, both with shotgun and rifle.

Dr. Larson is survived by his wife and ten children. Three of his sons are veterinarians, Dr. H. J. Larson of Fergus Falls, Dr. H. M. Larson of Evansville, Dr. E. V. Larson, now serving in France with the armed forces. Another son, Dr. Kenneth Larson, was killed in an auto accident near Willmar last summer. Other children are Nervin Larson of Longville, Mrs. M. E. Howe and Mrs. Raymond Peterson of Fergus Falls, Mrs. Loren Erickson of Elbow Lake and Mrs. George Wilder, Mrs. Dave Edman and Mrs. Robert Munger of Minneapolis. One of his brothers, Dr. J. J.
