Born in Wayne County on Sunday, Nov. 29, 1936 to Mance Loper and Kate Loper, he was a member of Waynesboro First Baptist Church. He was a Past Potentate of the Hamasa Temple Shrine in Meridian and was a member of Waynesboro Masonic Lodge. He served as Transportation Director for the Children’s Burn Center and owned and operated Loper Auto.
He died on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Guynell Loper; his father, Mance Loper; his mother, Kate Loper; a brother, Hance C. Loper; and two sisters, Katie Lee Pryor and Jean Pryor.
