Funeral services for M. L. “Faye” Loper, 81, of Waynesboro, will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, 2018 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home, with Rev. Jim McEachern and Dr. Johnny Pryor officiating. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018 from the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home.
Following the funeral service, interment will take place at Serenity Gardens Cemetery.
Born in Wayne County on Sunday, Nov. 29, 1936 to Mance Loper and Kate Loper, he was a member of Waynesboro First Baptist Church. He was a Past Potentate of the Hamasa Temple Shrine in Meridian and was a member of Waynesboro Masonic Lodge. He served as Transportation Director for the Children’s Burn Center and owned and operated Loper Auto.
He died on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Guynell Loper; his father, Mance Loper; his mother, Kate Loper; a brother, Hance C. Loper; and two sisters, Katie Lee Pryor and Jean Pryor.
Freeman Funeral Home of Waynesboro is in charge of arrangements.
