Ferdinand, called Ferd, Ferdie or Bud was married to Eva Schoendollar. They had 2 children John Wayne Heigert and Delores. Ferdinand was injured an accident while serving in the military during WWII and was disabled the rest of his life. When he was young his father discovered that they had been spelling their last name incorrectly. The rest of the family changed the spelling to Hiegert, but Ferdinand always spelled it Heigert. He died in Goodland Kansas
