Mrs. Dentler was born at Taxville, the daughter of the late Jacob and Iva (Gross) Holtzapple.
She was employed as a cook at York Lutheran Retirement Village. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, of Dover Fire Company Auxiliary and of Veterans of Foreign Wars West Manchester Post Auxiliary.
She is survived by three sons, Robert L. Dentler, 78 S. Main St.; James C. Dentler, 4806 Clair-Mar Drive; and Thomas E. Dentler, 2508 Broad St., Shiloh; a daughter, Cathy A. Aumen, 63 N. Main St.; six grandchildren; four brothers, Jacob and Alvin Holtzapple, both of Dover, Gerald Holtzapple, West York, and Dale Holtzapple, York; and two sisters, Ruth Myers, Dover, and Betty Diehl, Shiloh.
