She was born March 16, 1937, to the late Olen and Herma Bailey in Dalton, AR.
Alta was a substitute teacher, house wife and farmer.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Mose Bailey.
Alta is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years, Glenn; children, Glenda Bibb of Pocahontas and Becky (Roger) Honey of Pocahontas; one sister, Kathy Knotts of O'Fallon, IL; one brother, Melvin (Brenda) Bailey of Dalton; grandchildren, Kevin Williams of Brookland, Melissa (Ian) Bickers of Noland and Destiny, Abigail, and Jessie Honey of Pocahontas; great-grand-child, Bennett Bickers of Noland.
Services were held at the Taylor-Cox Funeral Home chapel. Burial was at the Chesser Cemetery.
