Age 81, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at home following an extended illness. She was born April 24, 1933 in Barbourville, KY, the daughter of Claude and Hattie (Cain) McHargue. On March 21, 1949, she married Kenneth V. Callebs and he preceded her in death November 16, 1999. She enjoyed knitting, quilting and reading. Survivors include: four children, Kathy Callebs, Pam Callebs Koepp, Jeffery Callebs and Claudette Toomey; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother, Lester McHargue; one sister, Betty Sue Matulionis; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one son Kenneth V. Callebs Jr., one brother Jerry and one sister Evelyn. Contributions in her memory may be made to either the Alzheimers Association or the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the Stark Funeral Service where visitation will be 5-8 pm Thursday. Burial will take place in Washtenong Memorial Park.
