The daughter of George and Eva (Mullenix) Cain, she was born October 25, 1924 in Worthington, MO. On April 5, 1946 in Edina, MO she was marriesd to Kenneth J. Swann and he preceded her in death on October 5, 1995.
Her parents, one daughter, Judy Yadon Covenington in 1972, one son, Allen Swann on May 25, 1989 and two brothers, Clifford Cain and Cloyd "Bubby" Cain also preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters, Ginger Swann Wrolstad and husband Bob of O'Fallon and Connie Riley and husband Mike of O'Fallon; one sister, Louise Bergmeier of Kirksville; one brother Ronnie Cain of Queen City, MO; five grandchildren, Bobbi Mulkins, Bryon Barber, Corey Clark, Kristin Berg, and Jeremy Swann; sixteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Lois was raised an attenmded school in Putnam County, MO. She worked as a salesperson for Pyramid Insurance, then for the Children and Youth program at KOH until going to work for the Burroughs Plant in Kirksville.
She was a member of the Brashear Community Bible Church and was very devoted to God. She loved her family and spending time with them and will be sorely missed.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday December 10, 2002 at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel with Rev. Don Anderson officiating. Musical selections will be "The Lord's Prayer" sung by Angie Barber and "How Great Thou Art". Burial will be in Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville, Missouri.
