BUTLER RESIDENT IS DEAD AT THE AGE OF 84 YEARS


Mrs. Nellie E. Campbell, 84, a native and lifelong resident of DeKalb county, died at the Sheehy nursing home at Butler at 10 a.m. Monday of complications resulting from advanced age.


Mrs. Campbell had been in failing health for some time and in poor health for five weeks. She was taken to the nursing home Saturday.


She was born in Franklin township, May 21, 1873, the daughter of the late Darwin and Margaret Hodges Soule.


In November of 1892, she and George Campbell were married in Waterloo. Mr. Campbell preceded his wife in death. Mrs. Campbell resided at 109 John street in Butler for the past 30 years.


Survivors include a son, Donald Campbell of Hamilton; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. Mattie Walters of Pioneer, O., Mrs. Maude Crooks of Waterloo and Mrs. Ruth Gaskill of Angola.


She was a member of the EUB church at Butler.


The body was removed to the Johnson funeral home at Butler where funeral services will be con- ducted at 2 p.m. Thursday.


The Rev. C. W. Miller, pastor of the Butler EUB church, will officiate at the services and burial will follow in the Butler cemetery.
