YOWELL, WAVERLY ''ELMO,'' 70, of Tampa, died Thursday (Sept. 22, 1988). He was born in Elmira, N.Y., and came here 13 years ago from Sparrows Point, Md. He was a yard master for the Patapsco and Back Rivers Railroad Co. He was a Marine Corps veteran. He was a member of Post Noble Grand Prospect Lodge No. 38, IOOF; past grand patriarch of the Grand Encampment of Florida, IOOF; past chief patriarch, Unity Encampment No. 12; international representative to Sovereign Lodge, State of Florida; Patriarch Militant Canton No. 9 of Clearwater; and the Three Links Rebekah Lodge No. 9. He was a life member of VFW Post No. 10140 and was a member of the American Legion North Tampa Post 334. Survivors include his wife, Marion L.; a stepson, Wayne Stewart, Michigan; a stepdaughter, Karen S. Harris, Michigan; a sister, Ramona Wojick, Maryland; and four step-grandchildren.
