Ethel Bassham Gray, 94, of Athens, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2006, at Athens Convalescent Center, was born Oct. 22, 1911, in Limestone County. She was a homemaker and was retired from Athens College. She was a member of Hays Mill Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Gray; one son, Euel Gray; five brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, Jane Patterson of Decatur; two sons, James Gray and Kenneth Gray, both of Elkmont; seven grandchildren, Angie Gray Wales, Tony Patterson, Tim Gray, Sam Gray, Sherry Terry, Kelley Anderson and Kathy Gray; 12 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law.
