MRS. L. P. TERRY DEAD, FUNERAL THURSDAY
She had been Ill since first of year following influenza.
Mrs. Serena Terry, wife of Len P. Terry, died at her home, 1702 West Main, last night fifteen minutes after midnight. The funeral services will be held in the First Baptist church in this city at 2 o clock Thursday afternoon, September 2nd. They will be conducted by the pastor, Dr. W. E. Davis. Interment will be in Elmwood Abbey.
Mrs. Terry had been in poor health for some time, never recovering from an attack of influenza early in the year. Her condition had been critical for 2 weeks. She was born in Illinois, but had resided in this city for about 40 years.
She is survived by her husband and one son, Dr. George Terry, a bacteriologist, of Cincinnati, Ohio who came home more than a week ago because of his mother's illness, a brother in Hutchinson, KS and a sister in San Jose, Ill, a half-sister, Mrs. Fred Bower, and half-brother, W. S. Biggs, who live 4 miles southwest of Chanute.
