born Oct. 14, 1934, in Bellwood, Pa., the son of Edgar Clark Chronister and wife Ida Mae, nee Frederick. Wesley was the beloved husband of Paula Chronister, nee Underhill, to whom he was married on Dec. 23, 1978, in Traverse City, Mich. During his working years, Wesley was a food service manager. Wesley is survived by his wife, Paula Chronister, Foristell; four sons, Steven Chronister, Altoona, Pa., John (April) Chronister, Rockton, Ill., Wesley G. (Mary Beth) Chronister, Tucson, Ariz., and Matthew B. (Elizabeth) Chronister, Ann Arbor, Mich.; five daughters, Jeanette (Gary) Carmody, Joliet, Ill., Jacqueline (Ross) Myers, Greenville, Ill., Joy Stickley, Batavia, Ill., Jennifer (Steven) Treatman, Wentzville, and Christina (Joseph) Conway, Streamwood, Ill.; 23 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Wesley was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Ida Mae Chronister; son, Wesley C. Chronister; and six brothers and sisters. He was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church and United Methodist Men. Wesley also was retired from the U.S. Navy. He was a MSCS (SS) retired, USN and served as a dive officer. Wesley was involved with the Wentzville Optimist Club and Business Men's Bible Study, Wentzville, and a member of the New Melle VFW Post 5651. Wesley volunteered at the St. Louis Retired Activities Office at Lambert.
