Charles Leonard Birchfield, 65, of North Spring, WV went home to be with the Lord on Saturday May 17, 2014 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV, following a long illness. Charles loved attending his church Gilbert Church of God. He also enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles and spending time with his family.
Charles was born July 8, 1948 in Bull Creek, WV, a son of Ethel Allen-Birchfield (1923-2019) and the late Everett Birchfield (1913-1985).
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of fourteen years Patty Birchfield; a son, Charles "Chuck" Leonard Birchfield, Jr. & wife Tabby Birchfield of Selah, WA; a daughter, Shawna Birchfield-Sexton of Princeton; his mother Ethel Allen-Birchfield (1923-2019) of Mohawk; two brothers, Steve Birchfield & wife Freda Birchfield of Bull Creek and Thomas "Tommy" Birchfield & wife Becky Birchfield of NC; a sister, Carol Birchfield-Jones of NC; five grandchildren, Jordan Birchfield, McKensie Birchfield, Erica Sexton, Savannah Sexton, and Terrence Sexton; a special cousin, Andrew Birchfield of Bull Creek; a very loved dog Lucy; and a host of other loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday May 22, 2014 at the Isaban Church of God with Pastor David Bobbit and Bro. Ryan Seabolt officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Allen Cemetery, Bull Creek, WV.
