Funeral services for E.F. (Sam) Baxter, 69, former Eddy and Chilton banker, will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Wilkinson and Hatch Funeral Home with burial in Waco Memorial Park. Mr. Baxter died at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at his home in Montgomery, Ala. He was a native of Rockdale. He moved to Montgomery 10 years ago and was a lumber broker there. The body will arrive in Waco at 11:30 p.m. Thursday. The family will be at the Waller Evans Jr. home in Lorena. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Ouida Jenks of Fairfax, Ca., and a grandson, also of Fairfax. Waco News-Tribune, April 3, 1958
