Funeral services for Mrs. Allie Jane Wilson, who died on Thursday afternoon, Jan. 1, 1948, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Annie Hodge, of 658 Greenville Street, following a lengthy illness, will be held on Sunday afternoon, on Jan. 4. 1948, at 2 p.m., at the Church of God on S. Church Street, conducted by the Rev. Linwood Jacobs. Interment will be in Saxon Cemetery. The body will be at the residence of her daughter until the hour of services. She was born in Candler, NC and daughter of the late Wilburn and Caroline Brooks Pendlan. She was a resident of Spartanburg, SC most of her life. Survivors included: 5 sons, Russell, John, Lewis, Walter and Wilburn Wilson; two daughters, Mrs. Sallie Wingate and Mrs. Annie Hodge; 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
