Mrs. Polly Powell, aged 96, Passes Away at Home of Son Near Uniondale.
BLUFFTON, Ind., Dec. 23--Mrs. Polly Powell, aged 96, for many years a resident of Union township, and known as the oldest resident of Wells county, died this morning at the home of her son, John Rice, near Uniondale. She had been ill only a few days from pneumonia. Mrs. Powell was a native of Wooster, O., where she was born in 1820. She had resided in Indiana seventy years. She was twice married, both husbands preceding her in death. Two children surviving are John Rice and Mrs. Diehl of Fort Wayne.
