"American Fork- Joseph Thornton Young, 94 died June 29, 1989 in Orem, Utah. Born April 2, 1895 in Tonganoxie, Kansas, son of Benjamin Harrison and Jessie Marshall Young. Married Erma Kunz October 16, 1915 in Paris, Idaho; she died August 10, 1986. He served an LDS Mission in Ohio and Indiana. he was a farmer and associated with the American Fork Celery Coop for many years. high Priest, he directed church and civic choruses for many years. He served as a baseball coach in Montpelier, Idaho. Survived by sister, Hazel Weir, Lomita, Calif.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services 10 a.m. Monday, in the Orem 1st Ward, 225 East 250 North. Friends may call at Anderson and sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork, Sunday, 6-8 p.m. and at the ward one hour prior to services." Burial, Bern Cemetery, in Idaho.
