Norma Loraine Shirley Michaelson passed away May 31, 2014 in Montpelier, Idaho. She was the third child born to Henry Wilford and Iva Loraine Shirley on July 16, 1926 in Fish Haven, Idaho.
Her childhood was spent in Fish Haven and later Evanston Wyoming where she graduated from high school. She was attending a secretarial course at Fielding Academy when her Mother passed away and she returned to Evanston to care for her father.
She married Harvey Peterson Michaelson December 26, 1949 and was later sealed in the Logan Temple. To this union was born 5 children. Their first home was in St Charles until they moved to Evanston Wyoming where Harvey worked for the railroad until making their home in Fish Haven, Idaho.
She loved to sing to her children and spent many hours making clothes for her daughters and their dolls. Although she was never able to have piano lessons, she learned to play the piano by ear.
Norma loved to cook and enjoyed spending the summer months cooking at the Fish Haven resort and the Lakeview Café in Garden City.
She was a member of the LDS Church. She was a teacher and Primary counselor.
She loved people and enjoyed spending time with friends whether she was taking them for a ride or just being together. She had a great love for her family and their accomplishments.

She was preceeded in death by her husband, her parents, and brother Cecil Shirley. She is survived by her children Alan (Janet) of St Charles, Kenny of Fish Haven, Iva (Rod) Wilske of Green River Utah, Harry of Fish Haven, Sherry (Clint) Parsons of Chubbuck Idaho, her brother Evan Shirley (Montpelier), her sister Dalice Barker (Evanston, Wyoming), 9 grand children and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the St Charles Ward with a viewing Tuesday, June 3 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Matthew Mortuary and from 11:00 to 12:45 prior to the services.
