Mamie L. Dollar, 92, of Arlington passed away Monday, June 2, 2014 in Arlington. She was born December 12, 1921 in Itasca to Alvin John and Birdie Celeste (Johnson) Brackin. On November 10, 1940 she married C. K. Dollar.

Avid square dancers and round dancers, Mamie and C. K. traveled all over the United States and Germany dancing together. For many years, she was a volunteer at Methodist Central Hospital in Dallas. Mamie enjoyed traveling, going on cruises, gardening, and playing bridge. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Duncanville and Women's Club in Oak Cliff.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, C. K. Dollar, on July 28, 2010.

Survivors include her three children; brother, George Wesley Brackin; three grandsons and four great-grand children.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Billy Ray Dollar officiating. Burial will follow at Itasca Cemetery in Itasca. Visitation will be from Noon until service time on Wednesday.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Waco, TX.
