Joshua David "Opie" Overmyer, 26, of Valparaiso, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014. He was born April 10, 1988 in Valparaiso, graduated from Valparaiso High School in 2006 and attended Ivy Tech College. Josh was currently a Machinist with NICTD. He enjoyed hunting, particularly ducks, had fun playing the guitar and drums, and had a gift for being able to put a smile on everyone's faces around him. Josh believed that life was meant to be enjoyed. He will be greatly missed! Survivors include his parents, Daniel & Diane Overmyer of Valparaiso, brother, Jeremy (Chelsea) Overmyer of Elkhart and his nephew, Alix. Josh was preceded in death by his grandparents.
