Mrs. Rufus C. Jones, 87, nee Dorothy Holman of Fredericksburg, died Sunday, May 16, 2004.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 18, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Beckmann Funeral Home with the Rev. Jarrell Sharp officiating.
Marjorie Ottmers was the organist and Dr. Rollie Blondeau, the vocalist.
Interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Jones was born Nov. 15, 1916, in Austin, the daughter of Henry Holman and Emma Bulian Holman. She married Rufus C. Jones on Sept. 23, 1949, in Austin and he survives.
Mrs. Jones was a retired registered nurse.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, David Jones of Fredericksburg and Robert Jones of The Colony.
Also surviving are two brothers, Henry Holman and W.S. (Scott) Holman, both of Austin.
Her parents as well as a sister, Louise Hancock, preceded her in death.
