Frances Barnes, 60, an LPN, of Mendenhall died May 19, 2006, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.
Services were conducted May 22 from the chapel of Tutor Funeral Home in Magee. Burial followed in the Magee City Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Levell [sic, s/b Lavell] Barnes of Mendenhall; sons, Freddy Barnes and Lee Barnes, both of Magee; daughters, Tawana Barnes of Mendenhall and Lisa McKissack [i.e. her step-daughter] of Magee; brother, Ray Mangum of Magee; sisters, Dessie Garner of Magee and Betty Shaw of Monticello; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
