Angela Maria Vignone, of Hartford, died Saturday (July 14, 2001) at St. Francis Hospital & Medical Center after a short illness. Born in Hartford, daughter to the late John M. and Mary (Bonadies) Vignone, she lived in Hartford all of her life. She graduated from Bulkeley High School and Hartford Secretarial School. She was decorated during World War II for her contributions as a volunteer in the Nursing Department at Hartford Hospital. She retired from the Hartford Dispensary after 30 years of service, and was a member of St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, Hartford.

Angela leaves a sister, Josephine Vignone Turner; two sisters-in-law, Genevieve Vignone Young and Phyllis T. Vignone, all of Farmington; she also leaves many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Frank J. Vignone and Prosper J. Vignone. The funeral procession will be Wednesday, July 18, 9 a.m., from Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10am in St. Lawrence O'Toole Church. Burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours will be Tuesday, 5-8 p.m., at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary Home, 2021 Albany Ave., West Hartford, CT; or to St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, 494 New Britain Ave., Hartford, CT.
