He was Retired from Pontotoc Electric Power Association and a Member of Mt. Comfort Baptist Church.
He was an Avid Hunter.
He Loved Hunting with Hounds.
He was one of the Nations Top Breeders of Trigg Fox Hounds.
Gordon was know as a People Person that Never Met a Stranger.
He Loved and Cherished all Friends that he made through the years.
He is Survived by His Wife: Audrey Lee Wright Cook of Pittsboro, MS; Four Sons: Jeff Cook of Pittsboro, MS; Scott Cook of Pittsboro, MS; Jerry Turner and Wife, Tina, of Water Valley, MS; and Steve Turner of Florence, MS; Three Daughters, Debra Harrell and Husband, Vince, of Bluffton, SC; Patrica Zinn of Bruce, MS; and Diane McKnight of Memphis, TN; Brothers, Roy Cook and Wife, Vivian, of Destin, FL; and B. J. Cook and Wife, Eleanor, of Hilton Head Island, SC; Sister, Dorthia Baker of Pittsboro, MS; 12 Grand Children; 16 Great Grand Children; 5 Nephews and 4 Nieces.
The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. at Mt. Comfort Baptist Church in Bruce, MS with Bro. J. R. Eaton Officiating.
Burial will be in Providence Cemetery, Banner, MS.
Pallbearers will be: Bobby Gordon Brown, Jerry Coleman, Charles Parker, Jimmy Pennington, Bobby Wells and Cody Weeks.
