Gary Franklin Klingel, 65, of Moberly, formerly of Benton, died May 28, 2014, at the Harry S. Truman VA Memorial Hospital in Columbia.
Born October 7, 1948, in Sikeston, to the late William and Ruby Parks Klingel, he had retired from Noranda Aluminum, where he was an electrician. He served in the U.S. Marines and was a member of the Morley Church of God. On June 18, 2011, he married Biyang Klingel, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Ginger Klingel of Keytesville; three daughters and one son-in-law, Katina and Jonathan Wahlers of Naples, Fla., Marlanda Klingel of St. Louis and Peng Cheng of Canada; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Byron and Linda Klingel, Bobby and Judy Klingel and Bill and Jamie Klingel; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sonja and Eddy Fisher and Billie Jo and Lonnie Rozeboom; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be held beginning at 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 31, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with Larry Jackson, pastor of the Morley Church of God, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, with full military honors provided by the U.S. Marines Military Honor Guard.
