Brother D.W. Cobb, 87 of Evansville passed away at 9:10 am, Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Home Pavilion.Brother Cobb was born September 15, 1926 in Webster County, KY to the late Arthur and Nora E. (Holmes) Cobb. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. In 1968, Brother D.W. established the Riverside Church of God with his late wife Martha, retiring after 50 plus years in ministry. Brother Cobb and his wife also owned and operated a grocery store in Henderson, Kentucky for several years. D.W. was also a home builder in and around Henderson. Brother Cobb and his wife were avid solders and dedicated Christians for the Kingdom of God.He is survived by brother, Omer Ray Cobb (Marlin) of Corydon, KY, brother-in-law, Ray Mitchell (Mary), sister-in-law, Jean Belt, nieces, Freda Hale (James) of Palmyra, IN and Fran Matheis of Bowling Green, KY and several other nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his beloved wife and partner in ministry, Martha Ellen Cobb, January 26, 2014 after 66 years of marriage, his parents and four brothers and five sisters
