Margaret and her grandson, Howard Yost, died and were buried in Fresno, California. When Thomas Yost (father of Howard, husband of Emily “Emma” Thomas Yost, and son-in-law of Margaret) died in 1907 in Fresno, he was cremated and placed in the San Francisco Columbarium (then, a part of the Odd Fellows Cemetery). A few days after the death of Thomas Yost, the remains of Howard Yost and Margaret Strong Thomas Yost were removed from Fresno and cremated, and they were also placed in the San Francisco Columbarium.
