Carroll Wade Carson, 71 of 108 Oakdale Lane; Cordova died Tuesday May 27, 2014 at his residence. Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 at Memorial Church of the Nazarene in Orangeburg The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Memorial Church of the Nazarene in Orangeburg with burial at Hebron Southern Methodist Church Cemetery between Pinehill and Livingston with Rev. Billy Williams and Rev. Johnny Price officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Thompson, Mike Brant, Kevin Brant, Billy Brant, Willard Sandifer and Ken Payton.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Sr. Adult Sunday School Class of Memorial Church of the Nazarene.
He was born August 16, 1942 in Orangeburg, SC ; the son of the late Grover L. Carson and the late Leila Jeffcoat Carson. He served in the US Air Force; a member of Memorial Church of the Nazarene and a member of the Sr. Adult Sunday School Class. He was retired from Reid's Grocery Store as a produce manager with over 20 years of service. He was preceded in death by a brother, Roy G. Carson. Survivors include his wife; Betty Brant Carson of Cordova; 2 children; James Hawkins, Jr. of Livingston and Deborah Cherry of Orangeburg; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 2 brothers; G.L. and (Sherry) Carson of Ridge Springs, SC; William W. "Bill" Carson of Orangeburg; 2 sisters; Judy Jeffcoat and Janice Williams both of Neeses.
