Eleanor Bingman Sandel, 90, of Westminster Village, Allentown, died Aug. 29 in the village's skilled nursing unit. She was the wife of Dr. John S. Sandel, who died in May.

A graduate of Bloomsburg University, she taught elementary school music and reading in Downingtown, Chester County.

Born in Troxelville, Snyder County, she was a daughter of the late J. Frederick and S. Fannie Bingman.

She sang in the Bach Choir, Bethlehem, and the choirs of First Presbyterian Church, Bethlehem, and Church of the Covenant, Erie.

Survivors: Son, The Rev. John S. Sandel II of Milford, Conn.; a grandson; nieces, nephews.

Services: memorial, 11 a.m. Tuesday in First Presbyterian Church chapel. No calling hours. Arrangements, John F. Herron Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
