Services for Mrs. Myrtle Hays Driver, 92, formerly of the Pirtle Community, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bret Carroll officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Driver died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Laird Memorial Hospital in Kilgore following a brief illness. She was born September 10, 1893, in Rusk County, and had lived in Kilgore for 15 years. Prior to living in Kilgore, she and Mr. Elmer Hays lived in Overton.

She was a housewife and she attended Pirtle Methodist Church.

Mrs. Driver is survived by her husband, Wesley Driver, of Kilgore; one son, Vernon Hays of Pittsburg; one daughter, Mrs. Juanita Hays Bass Dawson of Kilgore; one brother, Tillman Oliver of Longview; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elmer W. Hays; one son, Morris A. Hays; one grandson, Tracy Hays; parents and siblings.

Her first husband was Elmer W. Hays. Her second husband, later in life, was Wesley Driver, whom she met and married while they were in the nursing home together in Kilgore, Texas.
