Blanton, Thomas R., 74, passed away on Feb. 21, 2014. Visitation held Monday, Feb. 24 at 9:00 am with funeral service at 10 am both held at Affinity All Faiths Mortuary, 2850 S. Seneca, Wichita, Ks. Thomas retired from the Wichita police department and Boeing Aircraft after serving 20 years for both.
He was born in Dwight, KS on Nov. 27, 1939 to Samuel and Lucy (Moser) Blanton. He is preceded in death by his parents and 9 siblings. Survived by his first wife, Judy Blanton, and children Denise (Bryan) Ellis, Jeff Blanton, and granddaughter, Katelyn Ellis. Current wife, Mae McQuilliams, children, David Montgomery and Rhonda Schwind and Vernon Montgomery (Deceased). Siblings, two brothers, three sisters.
