Marjorie L. Christophersen, 81, of Clarence, passed away Friday, May 23, 2014, at Unity Point Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 27, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at St. John's United Church of Christ in Clarence. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care at Unity Point Hospital or St. John's UCC kitchen fund in her memory.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 28, at St. John's United Church of Christ in Clarence. Pallbearers are Nick Scott, Eric Scott, Loren Christophersen, Connor Christophersen, Michael Thies and Michael Vens. Honorary pallbearer was Chris Brown. Burial will be the in the Clarence Cemetery, Clarence, Iowa.

Marjorie Lavonne Fletcher was born March 23, 1933, in Le Claire, the daughter of Harry A. and Mae E. (McFate) Fletcher. She married George Brown in 1949. She married Alfred Frederick Christophersen in 1954.

She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Clarence. She worked at Tipton Walmart, Clarence Nursing Home, B & K Grocery and the Calendar Factory. Alfred procedure her in death on March 10, 2012. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Surviving are one daughter, Lauri (Roger) Reid of Moline, IL; four sons, Steven (Corrine) Brown of Paducah, KY, Roger Christophersen of Clarence, Paul Christophersen of Cedar Rapids and Todd (Michelle) of Palo; seven grandchildren, Eric, Nick, Chris, Loren, Jaime, Connor and Abbie; and three great-grandchildren, Emily, Robbie and Ali.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, Verla Vens and one brother, Vernon Fletcher.
