Frederick was born at Frenchtown Township, Monroe County, Mi. Frederick was a farmer. His home was Newport, and he was married to Anna Baum on December 25, 1912, with Rev. Henry Frinke, performing the ceremony at the parsonage of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was the son of Peter and Louise Sype. Frederick was survived by a brother, and two sisters, all of Frenchtown.
