Jeraldine Ada Miears

Nov. 2, 1933 - May 23, 2014 Jeraldine Ada Miears, 80, was born in Cottonwood, Ariz., November 2, 1933, and was blessed with her wish to pass on peacefully May 23, 2014. Jeri was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved reading, crocheting and quilting for her family. Her life was spent in the food industry, starting out as a car-hop on roller states, and finishing by opening the Shari's restaurants in Washington state. Her work culminated with her last position as the manager of the Kayak Point Golf Course restaurant. She was responsible for opening a restaurant in the award- winning public golf course in the 1990's. She loved watching the cooking channels, family dinners and celebrations. She was a whiz at crossword puzzles. You could always find her at one of her many grandchildren's games, teammates knew her as Grandma. She loved babies and if one was near it was in her arms. Her home was always open to returning children, grandchildren, family and friends. She loved her family unconditionally. She leaves behind her husband, Clarence H Miears (Chuck); her daughters, Mickey Thompson (Randy), Samantha Storey, JeriAnn Miears (Bud), and Tami Odell (Rich); her sons, Robert Storey (Wendy), Larry Storey, Reuben Jerald Storey (Mikki), Chuck Miears (Angie), and Chris Miears; and her sister, Pat Miller. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marjorie Storey. She was loved by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many dear friends whom she loved deeply. She was the Matriarch of our family; we cherished, loved, and adored her. A private family "Celebration of Life" was held Sunday, June 1, 2014, at her daughter Mickey's home, with over 80 of her immediate family present to celebrate her life. Our family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and caregivers at Stillaguamish Valley Hospital for their devoted care.
