Mrs. Elmer Fries Dies in St. Joseph Hospital-

Services were held in the Pettijohn-Eiser Chapel in Oregon Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Minnie E. Fries, 83, who died Monday, January 11, in a St. joseph hospital after a brief illness. The Rev. Hugo Rolens officiated at the service. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery, Mound City.

Mrs. Fries was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Close. She was born and reared in the St. Oswald community and the past 40 years had resided in the Oregon vicinity. She was the widow of Elmer Fries.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, three brothers and two sons, Roy and Ray Fries.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Roland Merrigan, Gallatin; two sons, Louie Fries, Oregon and Alvin Fries, Kansas City; a grandson, Roger Fries, and a great-granddaughter, Miss Ginger Fries, both of Kansas City.
