She was a native of Davidson County, daughter of the late Charles Wesley and Carrie Sluder Leonard, wife of the late James Alexander Beck, provided child care in her home for many years, member Central Wesleyan Church of Thomasville since 1932, Sunday School teacher in nursery department for 50 years, ladies Bible class, Mother of the Year 1979, Senior Citizens Joy Club of Southside Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Jackie Parrish, Thomasville, Carol Frances Vick, Wake Forest, Judi B. Bullabough, Mocksville; sons, James W. Beck, Gastonia, Ted F. Beck, Wallburg, David B. Beck, Lexington; daughter-in-law, Sybil Beck, Thomasville; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several step-grandchildren
