Robert F. Boger, a native of Parkersburg and son of the late Dr. Cyrus Maxwell Boger, was associated with the McGraw-Hill Publishing Co, of New York as Publisher of Engineering News-Record, the Construction Daily, and Construction Methods. He is Director of the American Road Builders Association, and of the Associated Business Publications.

He was a member of the Huguenot Society (by way of Casper Elias Diller), Sons of the American Revolution (through Valentin Boger), Engineers Club, Old Lyme Country Club, National Press Club, Santa Barbara (Calif.), Kennel Club, and a delegate to the American Kennel Club. [from Obituary]

The Robert F. Boger Awards for editorial excellence and achievement in construction journalism were established in 1975 in his honor as publisher of McGraw-Hill's Engineering News-Record and Construction Methods & Equipment, as well as a primary force behind the founding of CWA (Construction Writers Association).
