Her obituary, published 25 Feb 1912 in "The Fairbury (Nebraska) Journal-News", page 1:
Mrs. Margarite Schwitters died at the home of her daughter Mrs. H. A. Mohling near Bower, Thursday morning, Oct. 17th, aged 67 years 8 mouths and 28 days.
Her maiden name waa Margerate E. Aden. She was born in Germany March 19, 1845 and came to America with her parents when three years old. They resided in Illinois. In 1868 she was married to Mr. T. O. Schwitters at Peoria, Illinois. To this union were born 7 children, four of whom are dead. They came to Jefferson county In 1870 and lived near Gladstone until three years ago when they came to make home with their daughter Mrs. H. A. Mohling. Mr. Schwitters died after having lived with his daughter but a short time.
The surviving children are Frank Schwitters of Ideal, South Dakota, Mrs H. A. Mohllng of near Bower and Mrs. E. F. Schoen of near Gladstone. She also leaves to mourn her death a brother, R. Aden of Missouri and a sister, Mrs. Fred Henkel of near Gladstone.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. HoIder of the German Evangelical church of Gladstone Sunday, October 2. Burial was In the Gladstone cemetery.
