Mrs. Catherine M. Long, 77, of 160 N Second St, McSherrystown, died Wednesday, May 20, at Hanover General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Charles J. Long, who died Sept. 16, 1967.
Born in Mount Rock, she was the daughter of the late Pius I. and Cecelia A. Noel Horwedel. She was a member of the Annunciation Church of McSherrystown she was also a member of Daughters of the Isabella of the church and AARP She was a retired employee of Freeman Shoe Co of Hanover. She is survived by three sons, James F Long and Ronald J Long, both of McSherrystown and Randy C Long of Hanover one daughter, Mrs Joyce Tedder of McSherrystown, two stepsons, Charles Richard Long of McSherrystown and Jerome F Long of Hanover, two stepdaughters, Mrs Pauline E Robinson of Harrisburg and Mrs Charlene Orndorff of Bonneauville, 12 grandchildren, 16 step grandchildren and several great and step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, meeting at the Hicks Funeral Home of McSherrystown at 8 30 a m followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Annunciaton Church at 9 a m, with her pastor, the Rev Paul M Miller, as celebrant Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Edgegrove Friends may call on Fnday evening, with prayers at 8 p m.
