Susan (Susannah) McIntyre was born in Edinburgh, Scotland to Malcolm McIntyre and Jean McKellar. She had a brother Thomas and sister Jane. She married William A. Warnock in 1864 and two weeks later they sailed on the ship "Monarch of the Seas" for New York. They crossed the plains in the pioneer company of Isaac Nash and arrived in the Salt Lake Valley 19 Sept. 1864. They first settled in Tooele where the first three of their children were born. They later moved to Manti and then settled in Monroe. Susan gave birth to nine children. She died three months after giving birth to her last infant child in 1881 at age 46.
