Mrs. Armelia M. Sacco, 79, who resided with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Sacco at 3303 14th Ave., Rock Island, died last night at Franciscan Hospital, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Rock Island. The Rev. George Schroeder, pastor, will officiate, and entombment will be in Calvary Mausoleum, Rock Island.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock Island, where a joint parish and Altar Society rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church.
The former Armelia Guzzi was born May 15, 1902, in Castlegate, Utah, the daughter of Sam and Mary Guzzi. She moved to Rock Island from Centerville, Iowa, in 1941.
She was married to James Sacco March 6, 1920, in Centerville. He died in February 1981.
She was a member of St. Mary's church and the Altar and Rosary Society.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Colene Wilson and Mrs. Tony Faoro, both of Rock Island; two sons, Louis F. of Rock Island and John B. of East Moline; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Tony Guzzi of Centerville, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Maletta of Centerville, Mrs. Genevieve Dulek of Rock Island and Mrs. Diane Fazio of Santa Clara, Calif.
She also was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
