CARROLL - Earl Burrill, Jr., 72, died Sept. 12, 2003, at a Lincoln hospital. He was born in Lincoln, April 17, 1932, the son of the late Earl & Ethel (Severance) Burrill. He was predeceased by a sister, Gladys and four brothers, Benoni, Oliver, Basil and Robert. Junior is survived by fourteen brothers and sisters, Zara Worster; George and his wife, Linda; Charlie; Peter and his wife, Starr; Bennie and his wife, Marilyn; David and his wife, Janet; Marcia Severance and her husband, Elbridge; all from Carroll and Springfield; John and his wife, Jean of Codyville; James and his wife, Della of Kingman; Madeline Tripp of Hersey Town; Flora Linscott of Millinocket; Virginia Downs and Josephine A. Hopkins, both of Lincoln; also of Lincoln, Ruby Thurlow and her husband, Tom, with whom he resided and who had the privilege to be his caregivers from March 30, 2003 until he went into Penobscot Valley Hospital, the morning of Sept. 10, 2003; several nieces and nephews; a special uncle, Linwood Severance and his wife, Phyllis. Junior also had many friends of whom he was very fond and who greatly cared for him, four of them being Mae and George Brault of Acushnet, Mass and Judy and Bruce Farren of Walpole.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, 2003, at the Clay Funeral Home 7 Lee, Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept 16, 2003, at the funeral home, with Mr. Robert Jordan of Chester, officiating. Interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery. Donations in Earl's memory may be left at the funeral home, and will be greatly appreciated.
