Gerrie was born September 28, 1940 in Memphis, Tennessee., to the late Crump Allen Glass, Sr., and Lethia Mae Glass. They moved to Evansville in 1943. She was a graduate of Mater Dei High School. Gerrie started a family and moved back to Memphis where she stayed until 1977, at which time she moved to Los Angeles. She worked as a medical assistant in the office in Los Angeles where she finished her career.
Surviving are her children, Andre, Tricey, Sierra, Shawn and Akemi; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and her baby brother, Ron Glass.
Gerrie was preceded in death by her three older brothers, Crump Allen Glass, Jr., Lowell Gene Glass and Irving Glass.
She will be deeply missed by her family, extended family and a host of relatives and friends.
The memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Rose Hills Memorial Park and Mortuary, in the Hillside Chapel at 3888 Workman Mill Rd., Whitter, Calif., 90601, 562-699-0921.
Burial will be in Rose Hills Memorial Park Whitter, California.
