Douglas Richard Pittman (Daddy-O), age 71, of Enterprise, formerly of New Brockton, AL passed away, Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, May 23, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of New Brockton with Rev. Nate Sims and Rev. Slade Stinson officiating. Mr. Sam White will officiate at the graveside. Burial will follow in New Brockton City Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Thursday, May 22nd. Memorials may be made to the Coffee County Gideon's, PO Box 310173, Enterprise, AL 36331-0173, or to the First Baptist Church of New Brockton Building Fund, 105 East McKinnon Street, New Brockton, AL 36351.

He retired from AFS, U.S. Army Reserves, was a Mason and Shriner. After retirement he was an active member of the Enterprise Country Club and played golf every day.

Survivors include his wife, Juliana Pittman; daughter, Patti Pittman King; son, Douglas R. Pittman, Jr. (Bo); grandchildren, Meg King; Gray Pittman King; Presley Pittman; sister, Dennie Pittman Walden (Kenneth); brother, Leon Pittman (Bobbie); mother-in-law, Julia G. White; sister-in-law, Dinah W. Maddox (Morris); brother-in-law, Sam White (Sherrie); several loving nieces and nephews.
