She had been an employee of the former Carlisle Tire and Rubber Co. and Martha's Kitchen, New Bloomfield. She was a member of Ickesburg Fire Company Auxiliary and New Bloomfield Senior Citizens Center.
She was the widow of James E. Rhoads. Surviving are three sons, James E. Hinkle of Camp Hill and Robert E. Rhoads and Ronald A. Rhoads Sr., both of Landisburg; two daughters, Charlynn V. Detrick of Ickesburg and Rhona N. Chaposky of Landisburg; a brother, James C. Flickinger of Millerstown; five grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; a great-grandchild; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
