Glenador Adel Patrick, a longtime Perry homemaker who taught in one-room schools, died Tuesday (April 20, 2004) in Eastside Nursing Home, Warsaw. She was 93.
She was born Glenador Hull in Leicester and, as a young adult, taught school in one-room schoolhouses in Gibsonville and Goose Hollow. Later, she was a substitute teacher.
She was an active member of Brick Presbyterian Church in Perry and held many offices.
Mrs. Patrick also was a longtime member of Perry Chapter 497, Order of Eastern Star, serving as a matron for 11 years.
She was a longtime member of the Mary Jemison Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, a member of Perry Grange Mutual Friends and the PTA, and she was a Cub Scout den mother.
Her husband of 53 years, Robert W., died in 1992.
She is survived by a son, John of Perry; three daughters, Carolyn VanAllen of Perry, Dorothy Magee of East Greenbush and Mary Kohl of Olean; a sister, Jean Kingsley of Honeoye Falls; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, 98 N. Main St. Burial will be in Leicester Cemetery.
