Loury Huesmann, age 76, passed away on April 13, 2014. He was born on May 1, 1937 to Fielding and Floy Huesmann in Washington, DC. He was raised in Fairfax, Virginia. Loury served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army from 1956-59. He married his wife of 53 years on December 22, 1960. Loury was many things: blacksmith, cabinet maker, building inspector, historical conservator, artist, and more. He will always be remembered for his love of laughter, sense of adventure, devotion to family, and his love of hunting, fishing, boating, and his artistry.

Loury is preceded in death by his parents.

Loury is survived by his wife Anne; children, James Huesmann, Gail Huesmann; sibling, Amy Gill; grandchildren, Naomi Goodnight, Christopher Huesmann, Lucas Huesmann, and Joshua Huesmann.

A Memorial Service for Loury and Anne will be held at 1:30 p.m. on May 17, 2014 at Saint Dunstan's Church in Madison, Wisconsin. [A tree, pictured at right, was planted in the church's memorial garden in Loury's memory]
