Christoph Hieb, 87, formerly of Lodi, died yesterday in Stockton at a retirement home following a short illness.
A native of Tripp, S.D., he had lived in Kulm, N.D. where he was active in banking and real estate. He moved to Lodi in 1925 and lived here until three years ago when he moved to Stockton.
He was preceded in death by his wife Emma. They celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary prior to her death.
He was a member of the Ebenezer Congregational Church.
He is survived by a son, Roy HIeb; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Guinn; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Meyers; five grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
